This rich creamy soup is a favorite at The Crown Restaurant, in the Delta, and was featured on Turner South's Blue Ribbon TV show for Soups and Stews in 2005! Enjoy as it is, or add a wide variety of meats and vegetables to create your own soup (or delicious Pasta Sauce.) Add Shrimp, Crabmeat, cubed Ham, Chicken, Asparagus, Broccoli and Cheese. Ingredients

Creamy Delta Bisque
5 Cups Milk
1 Stick of Butter

Directions

Pour milk & dry mix in saucepan & whisk to combine well.
Cook on medium heat for about 20 minutes, stirring often as it begins to thicken.
Add butter (and your choice of meat or vegetables) & cook 10 minutes more.

Recipe Note

Enjoy with one of these additions:

Catfish Bisque: 3 raw diced catfish fillets

Shrimp Bisque: Fresh peeled shrimp or canned

Crab Bisque: Fresh crabmeat or canned

Ham Bisque: 1 cup cooked chopped ham

Broccoli Cheese Soup: 10 oz. box of frozen chopped broccoli & 8 oz. grated cheese

Creamed Chicken Soup: 1-2 cups cooked chicken

Alfredo Sauce: 1 cup (or more) grated parmesan cheese. (serve over pasta)

Hot Seafood Dip: Add shrimp, crab, fish fillets, etc., to prepare Delta Bisque. Add grated swiss or cheddar cheese to melt & thicken dip. Serve warm with crackers.
