Cajun Shrimp and Grits
Shrimp & grits is an iconic Southern dish & so easy to make at home with this mix!
Directions: Mix season packet with three sticks of butter & 1/4 cup of water. Simmer for 5 minutes on low heat - stirring frequently. In separate stock pot, bring 4 cups of milk to a boil. Add grits packet & cook until completely done. Add 2 cups of heavy whipping cream to the grits & stir. Add salt & pepper to taste. While grits are cooking, sauté 2 lbs. of medium peeled & deveined shrimp in butter & spices. Ladle shrimp & butter over creamy grits. (Add in onions, peppers, or bacon for extra flavor!)
Serves 8-10 people.
